Their multiple antioxidant compounds, including polyphenols, polysaccharides, ergothioneine, glutathione, selenium and vitamin C, are believed to be behind their superpowers. [<a href=\"https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/3fx52a84\"><strong>more info<\/strong><\/a>]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>And to help you eat to beat cancer &#8211; here&#8217;s our scrumptious recipe of the day:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Hoisin Mushroom Cabbage Wraps (Vegan)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Serves 4<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 small head red cabbage<\/li>\n<li>500g mixed fresh\u00a0cultivated mushrooms, sliced<\/li>\n<li>2 cloves garlic, grated<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp ginger, grated<\/li>\n<li>100ml hoisin sauce<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp soy sauce<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbsp rice vinegar<\/li>\n<li>1 red bell pepper, sliced<\/li>\n<li>1 yellow bell pepper, sliced<\/li>\n<li>1 small mediterranean cucumber, julienned<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp rice vinegar<\/li>\n<li>2 spring onions, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>Mixed sesame seeds, for garnish<\/li>\n<li>Sesame oil, for cooking<\/li>\n<li>Salt and pepper, to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Slice out the core of the cabbage and then gently separate the leave one at a time to land up with about 8 nicely sized cabbage cups.<\/li>\n<li>Heat a drizzle of sesame oil in a large frying pan over medium high heat.<\/li>\n<li>Saut\u00e9 the mushrooms until tender and golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Add in the garlic and ginger and cook for a minute.<\/li>\n<li>Pour in the hoisin, soy sauce and rice vinegar.<\/li>\n<li>Toss to coat well until the mushrooms are sticky and glossy with the sauce.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from the heat.<\/li>\n<li>Combine peppers and cucumbers in a bowl with a little pinch of salt and the rice vinegar.<\/li>\n<li>Toss to dress.<\/li>\n<li>Place veg into the cabbage cups and then top with the hoisin mushrooms.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Finish with a sprinkle of spring onions and sesame seeds and enjoy!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No single food protects people against cancer, but some foods contain nutrients that may help reduce the risk as part of a balanced diet.\u00a0 This means that our dietary choices can really make a difference in our risk of developing breast cancer .
