So, whether you are a seasoned cook or a beginner in the kitchen, join us on this culinary journey and discover the delicious flavors of Ramadan.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/joburg\/samfa-mince-bobotie-recipe\/\">Mushroom &amp; Mince Bobotie<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/joburg\/raw-pad-thai-with-spicy-sauteed-samfa-recipe\/\">Raw Pad Thai with Spicy Saut\u00e9ed Mushrooms<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Portabello Steaks with Spicy Chimichurri<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Portabello Steaks with Spicy Chimichurri Recipe<\/h3>\n<p><em>Serves 2<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 shallot, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 red chilli, sliced<\/li>\n<li>3 cloves garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup red wine vinegar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup coriander, chopped<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup parsley, chopped<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp oregano, chopped<\/li>\n<li>\u00be cup olive oil<\/li>\n<li>4 large portabello mushrooms<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp olive oil<\/li>\n<li>Salt and pepper<\/li>\n<li>1 lime<\/li>\n<li>30g rocket<\/li>\n<li>100g asparagus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Prepare your braai and allow coals or wood to burn down, or preheat a gas braai on medium.<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl combine the shallots, chili, garlic, red wine vinegar and salt. Mix well and let sit for 10 min. Add in the coriander, parsley, oregano and olive oil. Whisk well until combined.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl combine 2 tbsp chimichurri, 2 tbsp olive oil, the juice of one lime, salt and pepper. Add in the mushrooms and asparagus and toss to coat.<\/li>\n<li>Braai the mushrooms and asparagus until they are tender and begin to show some color.<\/li>\n<li>Serve the mushrooms on a bed of rocket and asparagus.
