They look like meat, feel like meat but are totally plant-based. So, they are perfect for when you\u2019re trying to eat more sustainably and healthily but need easy and convenient alternatives to your usual meat recipes.<\/p>\n<p>You could simply cook your Future Meatballs (5 minutes in a pan, or 7 minutes in an air fryer) and toss them in your favourite sauce, served with spaghetti or noodles, pap or mashed potato. Or get a little creative with this quick recipe for sticky Mongolian meatballs.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sticky Mongolian meatballs<\/span> <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Asian aromas of hoisin sauce, ginger, garlic and soy sauce come together beautifully in this sticky sauce, transforming the basic meatball succulence and bite into a flavour-packed weekday feast.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Future Farm meatballs\u2060<\/li>\n<li>Cracked black pepper\u2060<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup water\u2060<\/li>\n<li>\u2153 cup brown sugar\u2060<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup soy sauce\u2060<\/li>\n<li>4 cloves garlic grated\u2060<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons sesame oil\u2060<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons grated ginger\u2060<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon hoisin sauce\u2060<\/li>\n<li>\u215b teaspoon chilli flakes\u2060<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon white pepper\u2060<\/li>\n<li>3 spring onions\u2060, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds\u2060<\/li>\n<li>Cooked noodles\u2060 to serve<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat the oven to 180C<\/li>\n<li>Line a baking tray with foil and put the meatballs on it. Drizzle with sesame oil and season with cracked pepper. Bake for 8-10 minutes until browned.<\/li>\n<li>Mix brown sugar and water in a small saucepan. Add the soy sauce, grated garlic and ginger, hoisin sauce, chili flakes and white pepper and mix well.<\/li>\n<li>Cook the sauce ingredients over a low heat, stirring frequently for 5-8 minutes until the sauce is nicely sticky.<\/li>\n<li>Toss the cooked meatballs with the sauce. Use some of the sauce to toss with the cooked noodles.
