To many of our relief throats, and bottle stores, are once again allowed to be open this August.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just in time for this year\u2019s National Rum Day!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But why end the festivities after just one day? Celebrate at home every day during the month of August with these easy-to-make, low-effort rum cocktails.<\/p>\n

Rum Punch<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • 60mL dark rum<\/li>\n
  • \u00bd a lime\u2019s juice<\/li>\n
  • A splash of pineapple juice<\/li>\n
  • A splash of grapefruit juice<\/li>\n
  • 2 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters<\/li>\n
  • Your choice of Carbonated\/Tonic Water<\/li>\n
  • Grated nutmeg and a cherry as garnish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Method:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Add the rum, lime, pineapple and grapefruit juice, and the bitters into a shaker with ice and shake well until chilled.<\/li>\n
    2. Pour the contents into a highball glass, top up with carbonated water and garnish.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Rum Babalu<\/strong> (for those with more of a sweet tooth)<\/h3>\n

      Ingredients<\/strong><\/span>:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • 60mL aged rum<\/li>\n
      • Lime juice<\/li>\n
      • 1Tsp of Maple Syrup, or its alternative you have at home<\/li>\n
      • 2-3 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters<\/li>\n
      • Ginger beer<\/li>\n
      • Orange peel (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Method:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

        1. Add all the ingredients, except the ginger beer, into a shaker with ice and shake well until chilled.<\/li>\n
