Okay, yes, it\u2019s a classic, but perhaps it needs a bit of a shake up; not a massive one, just enough not to break a sweat.<\/p>\n<p>In our view, the classic Old Fashioned perhaps has too many steps. There\u2019s a lot of measuring, crushing, and pouring. It can really be trimmed down \u2013 giving you The Lazy Old Fashioned!<\/p>\n<p>We know the Monkey bottle is awesome.<\/p>\n<p>But its also crazy useful as a mixing jug. Just\u00a0follow the below recipe and you will have12 cocktails perfected in less than 30 seconds, ready to be enjoyed at\u00a0any time.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em><u>The Lazy Old Fashioned<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ingredients\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monkey Shoulder<\/li>\n<li>Sugar Syrup<\/li>\n<li>Angostura bitters<\/li>\n<li>Orange zest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preperation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Remove 150ml of Monkey Should Whisky from the bottle.<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy this neat, or on ice with friends while you use the 600ml for the Lazy Old Fashioned mix.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the 120 ml sugar syrup into the bottle.<\/li>\n<li>Add 24 dashes of Angostura Bitters into bottle.<\/li>\n<li>Now shake the bottle with all the ingredients inside.<\/li>\n<li>Take a marker and write Lazy Old fashioned over the label.<\/li>\n<li>Chill in the fridge, and when you are ready, pour yourself a ready mixed old fashioned over a glass with chilled dry ice and garnish with an orange zest.<\/li>\n<li>Now you have 12 cocktails in one bottle ready to be served<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><em>Monkey Shoulder Whisky is available at these participating retailers.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.makro.co.za\/beverages-liquor\/spirits\/whisky\/single-malt\/monkey-shoulder-blended-malt-scotch-whisky-1-x-750-ml-\/p\/000000000000262195_EA\"><strong>Makro<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ngf.co.za\/products\/monkey-shoulder-750ml-x1\"><strong>NGF<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/charly-old-fashioned.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-86735\" src=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/charly-old-fashioned.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"937\" height=\"1171\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here\u2019s how to drag the Old Fashioned into 2021 Yes, we said it, the Old Fashioned Week may be old fashioned.
