3 Course Food & Wine Dinner at The Greenhouse

As its name suggests, it’s fresh and life-giving.

Greenhouse at Cellars is famous for dishes such as white chocolate pap, quail and braaied springbok and cocktails made with ingredients such as grapefruit and pink peppercorns. They take great care into what goes on their plates, because you are what you eat.

They’re offering a compelling winter set menu to keep you warm this winter. It’s a three-course dining experience available from 1 June to 31 August 2019. It kicks off with the Greenhouse’s amuse-bouche and here’s what you can expect to follow:

Starters

Gamefish with lime, dill, liquorice and kohlrabi; or XO pork with erynjii mushroom, spring onion, ponzu and dashi.

Mains

A choice between the“tshisanyamabokkie” with sweetbreads, carrot, cashew, pap and morogo; or, sustainably sourced scallops, with wild rice risotto, pea puree and garlic sake sauce.

Dessert

“The beet” – encompassing beetroot, hazelnut, coffee, chocolate and cherry; or, the pineapple passion, with yoghurt, coriander and lime.

The meal is concluded with petite fours.

The cost is R650 per person and wine pairings can be added for an additional R350 per person.
