Tintswalo Atlantic joins the global straw war

Backing the global push to eradicate the use of plastic straws, Tintswalo Atlantic has banned all plastic straws at their hotel on Chapman’s Peak, replacing them with re-usable glass straws!

Lisa Goosen, the owner of Tintswalo Atlantic, has explained the reasoning behind the switch:

According to National Geographic, although straws amount to a tiny fraction of ocean plastic, their size makes them one of the most insidious polluters because they entangle marine animals and are consumed by fish

Tintswalo’s location right on the Atlantic Ocean, where amazing sea life can be seen every day, constantly reminds them about the vulnerability of nature. The environmental campaign to stop using plastic straws to help save the oceans is something they feel very strongly about supporting

Do your part to help save marine life by refusing the use of plastic straws and supporting restaurants and establishments that take their environmental impact seriously.
