The Sunflower Fund’s annual Gala Dinner will be nothing less than spectacular this year. For the past 14 years the fund has successfully hosted an annual fundraising event, each raising in excess of R40 0 000 for their most valuable cause.
A survivor’s quote, “How can you thank someone who has saved your life”. According to the South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR), every year hundreds of South Africans with blood diseases such as leukemia, reach the point where their only chance of survival is a stem cell transplant. The main problem is finding a compatible stem cell donor.
The Sunflower Fund educates and registers stem cell donors. We raise funds to cover the recruitment costs to grow an effective ethnically diverse South African Bone Marrow Registry of healthy, committed donors.
