Spoil your mom at The Table Bay hotel this Mother’s Day with a wonderful High Tea

Join The Table Bay for a wonderful Mother’s Day experience!

All parents love catching up with their kids, so why not treat mom to high tea and a chat in the plush surroundings of The Table Bay hotel in Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront this Mother’s Day.

The four-course menu is prepared by executive sous chef Wesli Jacobs and his team, and includes savoury items like teriyaki chicken rice paper wraps, smoked snoek pate frittata with pea mousse and caviar, vetkoek filled with biltong pate, and caprese tarts, while the second course consists of that high tea staple – scones with jams, whipped cream and cheese. “We’ve thought out of the box as usual and hope our guests enjoy our pumpkin and zucchini scones, matcha green tea banana bread, along with the more ordinary but just as delicious buttermilk scones,” Jacobs said.

The third course aims to satisfy those who have a sweet tooth, with an array of custard slices, macarons, chocolate raspberry tarts, lemon meringue, kiwi mousse entremets and Nutella cheesecake with hazelnut praline. The fourth and final course is a selection of cheeses accompanied by traditional condiments.

The High Tea, from May 6 to May 8, is R360 per person, served in The Lounge from 14h00 to 15h30 or 16h00 to 17h30.
