Kunjani Wine Estate is as colourful as it is welcoming.
While your eyes take in the vibrant shades and earthy tones, you’ll find yourself whisked away by friendly staff to a culinary feast and full-bodied wines. Kunjani means ‘Hi, how are you?’ and it’s easy to see why this wine farm was named after this African greeting. It’s a farm that had its beginnings in the unlikely love affair between a German entrepreneur and South African businesswoman. Since then, every corner of their estate has been lovingly woven together and built into a place that makes everyone feel at home.
And now Jacques LaGrange, our colourful country’s King of Courture is presenting a gourmet dining experience at Kunjani Wines on Friday 23 August. The Kunjani Wines ambassador is known for his elegant and luxurious tastes and understands Kunjani’s contemporary global-meets-local design aesthetic. LaGrange has dressed local and international celebrities for occasions such as the Royal Ascot and the Primetime Emmy Awards.
“I often say that couture is a lifestyle, not a party dress, and presenting this dinner paired with Kunjani wines is a natural extension of the couture lifestyle for me – delighting and engaging all the senses with delicious, beautiful food complemented by wines of taste and elegance, served in exquisite surroundings,” LaGrange said.
On the menu, you can expect bubbly, oysters and seafood paté crostini to start before enjoying three canapés with wine pairings of Kunjani Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and the quirky Stolen Chicken Rosé. A decadent chocolate dessert will end the meal on the perfect note.
The cost for the event is R695, including all wines, and bookings will be confirmed on receipt of payment.
