Nobu presents its Wine & Dine Masterclass at the One&Only

IN keeping with its high standards, Nobu Cape Town announces an exclusive programme of exquisite dining events for 2014. Every alternate month, the restaurant will feature a fine Cap Classique producer and their sparkling wines, pairing them in an evening of fabulous bubbles and flavours in the Nobu Lounge. In the months in-between, some of the country’s most iconic wineries and winemakers will be conducting ‘Vertical Masterclass’ evenings, going back over several years, each wine paired with the very finest cuisine Nobu restaurant has to offer.

Assisting in the pairing and service of both events will be Nobu’s wine steward, Tinashe Nyamudoka, recent winner of the inaugural Inter-Hotel Challenge for Junior Sommelier. He reveals that the vertical tastings, where the winemaker showcases several different vintages of the same wine, are of particular interest as it enables him to track the evolution of a wine over a period of time. “I look forward to trying some rare and exciting older vintages at these events!” he smiles. Hosted by charismatic MC and One&Only Cape Town’s effervescent ambassador Aubrey Ngcungama, Head Sushi Chef Keisuke “Keke” Itoh and Head Chef Dil Tamang will combine to offer evenings of exceptional quality, flavours and flair.

The Nobu Lounge MCC Evenings are priced at R495 per person and include a delicious pairing of bubblies with Nobu’s world-famous menu while the unique Nobu Vertical Masterclass events are priced at R450 per person and includes a memorable pairing of Asian-style dishes with wines.
