Mandela Day Event at Cape Quarter

During the World Cup, I worked on the fan walk. I made about 2500 pancakes per game. I knew the training would come in handy.

You can call me Sensei Pancake.

July 18 is Mandela Day. On this day you spend 67minutes donating to charity. The Cape Quarter are raising money for The Homestead charity by doing a 67 minute pancake challenge, which I am taking part in.

There are also:

  • R5 raffle tickets which enter you into a raffle to win R6,700.
  • A piazza event after-party on Mandela Day.
  • Craft beer and food pairings.
  • Food and wine tastings.
  • Village Market in and round the Cape Quarter centre.
  • Spot prizes.
  • Live music.
  • And of course, killer (let’s hope not literally) pancakes on sale!

Check #CQMandelaDay on Twitter and we will keep you posted with extra details.

It’s going to be a blast, and it’s for a good cause.
