If you know me at all, you’d know I don’t have a sweet tooth at all. And I love an excuse to be judgey. So when I was asked to be a judge (yes man!) at a NoMU baking competition (no man!) I was a little torn.
But my love of being judgey was way stronger than my ill-feelings towards baked goods and I found myself tasting 20 cakes. Yeah, twenty.
The folk at NoMU partnered with a baking club called The Bakehouse and Le Creuset who supplied fab gifts for the winners. Every month they meet up and compare recipes, and discuss baking and well, eat cake! NoMU supplied each person with a box of their Vanilla Cake Mix, and they could mix up the recipe in whichever way they wanted. And things got pretty damn creative.
