I am super judgey of South African television. Always have been, always will be. I often struggle with production values, with content, and with the over-the-top, happy-go-luck fake South African cheerfulness that we for some reason always perpetuate. People do realise that you can be happy without smiling all the time, right?
So when I received the first episode of this new TV show, I was really worried I was going to hate it.
BUT GUYS I DIDN’T! OMG IT IS REALLY AMAZING AND I CAN’T WAIT FOR EVERYONE TO SEEEEEE IT!
A massive shout out to Neill Anthony, Okuhle Media, Wellness Warehouse, Lancewood Cheese, and Renault SA – this show is brilliant and you should be proud of yourselves. I am super proud of all of you and that South Africans are producing just great television. From content, to production value, to the look and feel, music and edit – it’s really beautifully done.
