[Win] Let’s go to Gin School with Inverroche

Imagine having the chance to create your very own bottle of gin! A gin that you can name whatever and brag to everyone that you are a gin maker!

The Gin School by Inverroche not only offers visitors the opportunity to craft their own unique bottle of gin, but visitors also get a chance to sample gins and learn more about local fynbos.

Offered in three venues, namely the Inverroche Distillery in Still Bay, Café Gannet in Mossel Bay and the Indaba Hotel in Johannesburg, guests can expect to learn more about the history and origins of gin, the story of Inverroche and how the Founder, Lorna Scott, experimented determinedly to create their autograph collection, the distilling process and how to go about designing your own original gin from scratch.

On arrival guests are greeted with a cocktail, and during the distilling process a tutored gin tasting is also presented, while you view the process in the distinctive copper pot still. And, perhaps most importantly each imaginative scholar leaves with their very own creation, to appreciate, or flaunt, at their own leisure.

So if you fancy adding “gin maker” to your repertoire when friends ask what your talents are, then these sessions are for you. And since it’s almost summer, and more importantly, the festive season, the skill of gin distillation is something we should all possess!
