Castle Lager to launch Double Malt – a premium Beer for everyday Celebrations!

Castle Lager, Mzansi’s most beloved beer is proud to bring you South Africa’s first ever double malt lager with the introduction of Castle Double Malt.

This new addition to the Castle family is another celebration of Castle’s 126 year legacy in beer.

The launch of Castle Double Malt is testament to the brand’s commitment to being proudly local, by combining two carefully selected South African malts from Caledon and Alrode to bring you a superior lager. The combination of these two special malts and the Castle brewmaster’s expertise is the secret to a perfectly balanced beer that has full body, creamy foam, and a rich golden colour. To mark the launch, we will be celebrating other distinctive unions that make up the fabric of South African life. Because we understand that when our diverse influences and origins unite, extraordinary things can happen.

I am extremely proud of what we have created here and what we are bringing to the market. We at Castle Lager have 126 years of brewing expertise, which we have channelled into creating the next big thing in beer! We are excited to be launching Castle Double Malt, a first of a kind beer in South Africa. –  says Kudzi Mathabire, the Brand Director at Castle Lager.

Mathabire continues, “Castle Double Malt combines two carefully selected South African malts to bring you a perfectly balanced beer that is flavourful and refreshing, in the true spirit of the Castle brand. We are homegrown and immensely proud of how we bring the country together with our local talent and expertise. I can’t wait for South Africans to taste this truly amazing beer.”

In the new sleek 410 ml pearl, green, and gold can or the premium 340 ml green bottle containing 4.8% ABV, the premium taste is paired with the premium feel, making every day a celebration of success. It will be available in all major retail outlets and online on Takealot, and the Bottles app for R79.99 for a six pack. By constantly reinventing the beverage landscape, we show you how special our uniquely South African landscape can be when it all comes together with a Castle Double Malt.
