Going Back in Time
All-day special: In celebration of 21 years of superb cuisine, the hotel will be offering a traditional fish and chips or steak and chips with béarnaise sauce and a 330ml beer or glass of house wine for only R121. Available from 12pm to 10pm.
Activities: The hotel will celebrate with guests by offering a glass of Pongracz bubbles and slices from a specialty 3D cake of the hotel created by The President’s talented pastry team. Additionally, the hotels staff, dressed in traditional African attire, will unveil a nostalgic Madiba Wall Quote to honour the late leader. Everyone is invited to join and celebrate with us from 12pm to 6pm.

World Environment Day and Cape Town Wine Tour at the President
Activity: To celebrate World Environment Day, the hotel invites guests to help combat air pollution by taking part in planting trees at The President with staff at 11am.
Lunch specials: Attributing to the year that the hotel was reopened in 1998, the President will offer a lunch special for R98 of a fresh salad from their menu or an indulgent pasta Alfredo and a mocktail. Or for only R121, guests can enjoy a gourmet burger and 330ml beer or glass of house wine. Available from 12pm to 3pm.
Wine tasting: At 5pm, guests can explore the best of Cape Town’s wineries with a complimentary wine tasting experience, from The President’s extensive wine list, whilst enjoying the magnificent sunset and ocean breeze.

From 5pm to 8pm, the hotel team will unveil a pop-up history wall documenting The President’s most memorable and inspirational moments as well as an exhibition of local history. Family Fridays at The Base
The President invites parents and their young ones to enjoy some quality time at the most loved family hotel in Cape Town for their Family Friday Night special. Children under the age of 12 get to be little chef’s for the night and make their own pizza and eat it (for free!) when accompanied by two adults who are ordering a main meal each. Parents can enjoy some much-needed downtime whilst the kids play in the hotel’s play area with dedicated child minders. Available from 5pm to 8pm.

Yoga and World Oceans Day Beach Clean-Up
After welcoming the day at 8am with a yoga session and smoothies on the hotel’s lawn with views of the ocean, guests will be able to celebrate World Oceans Day by participating in a beach clean-up at Broken Bath Beach. Join for yoga at 8am or the beach clean-up from 9:30am to 11am (meet at the hotel’s Deck Bar at 9am). Everyone is welcome!

Sunday Funday
The President will be ending their birthday celebration family-style with a 1998 themed buffet Sunday lunch and kiddies buffet with live entertainment and kids’ fun with child minders so parents can kick-back and enjoy the afternoon with pristine views. The lunch is available at R210 per person. Children under age 6 eat free and half price for children under age of 12. Available from 12pm to 3pm.
Direct Accommodation Special
Guests will receive R210 CASH upon check-in for every direct accommodation booking made (via email, website or telephone) on The President’s birthday, 3 June 2019 for stays until end November 2019. Spend the cash on anything you wish or donate it to a charity of choice.
Time Capsule
Adding to the festivities, the President will be preserving memories and well wishes for future staff and guests in a time capsule to be reopened in 2040. Locals and visitors alike can submit their entries throughout the hotel’s seven celebratory days where the capsule will be held at The Point lookout, opposite reception.
