Fairview Goatshed Restaurant’s Moroccan Winter Dinner!

The Goatshed Restaurant’s annual series of famous winter dinners is back with a 2018 twist!

From the 25th of May to the end of September 2018, the Goatshed – which is usually a day venue – will be open on eight selected evenings and will serve a multi-course paired menu.

Under floor heating, wood fires and soul-warming wines will melt the cold Cape Town winter, allowing guests to fully enjoy the exceptional quality of Fairview’s fresh farm produce.

This year, Fairview Wine and Cheese have decided to introduce a strong relationship between the food and wine pairings, by complementing the Goatshed dinners with their most food-focused wine range, titled the Regional Revival Range.

Each wine is brimming with an enticing story to tell, as well as orientated with a specific wine region in mind. Taking place on the 8th of June, the second in the series, is the Nurok Moroccan Evening!

A dinner designed with love, the inspiration comes from Charles Back’s wife, Diane’s Nurok family roots. The origin of the Nurok name is linked to a story of harmony, religious tolerance and mutual respect, the cornerstone to Fairview’s philosophy. This wine pays homage to the revered blends of the Old World.

Nurok is one of their most acclaimed award-winning wines. In 2017, it won a 90 Tim Atkin score, 4.5 star Platter rating, and 92-points in the Winemag White Blend Award! Thanks to the oak on this beautiful white blend, it complements spicy and rich food incredibly well, so we’ve opted to pair it with Moroccan-inspired dishes.

For an idea of what delights to expect, the dinner’s menu is as follows:

Mrehba
Flat breads from the wood-fire oven, olive oil & rosemary
