Tullamore D.E.W reinvigorates the age-old tradition of sipping a coffee

Dating back to 1829, Tullamore D.E.W. has always maintained a proud association with tradition.

Tullamore D.E.W invites you to embrace an age-old Irish favourite on colder nights, the Irish Coffee. The perfect blend of flavour and tradition, there are many ways to enjoy this irresistible brew for the coffee lovers. The combination of the coffee’s strong bite and the sweet, smooth taste of Tullamore D.E.W. makes this a perfect pairing of true character.

Freshly brewed coffee and a shot of whiskey, the Irish Coffee is topped with thickened, fresh, whipped cream. Instead of weakening the overall experience, the flavours intensify into a steamy drink. Although enjoyable pretty much any time of the year, cold weather is a nice excuse to relish this warming treat.

IRISH COFFEE – BUENA VISTA

Ingredients

1 1/2 parts Tullamore D.E.W. Original

1 1/2 parts Strong Brewed Coffee (Any Premium Dark Roast)

1/2 parts Sugar (Demerara Sugar)

Lightly Whipped Heavy Cream

Cinnamon or Nutmeg

Preparation

Pre-heat a clear-stemmed glass with very hot water. Add the sugar and brewed coffee and stir well. Once the sugar has melted, stir in the Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey. Gently whip the heavy cream by shaking it in a protein shaker with a blender ball – you want a still somewhat loose, not stiff consistency. Pour the cream over the back of a hot teaspoon to top the drink (and prevent the cream from penetrating the top of the drink). Finally, garnish with grated nutmeg or cinnamon for a spicy finish.

Enjoy!
