Enjoy this Spring Tipple from Hendrick’s Gin

Hendrick’s Gin is celebrating the seasonal change by introducing a new cocktail recipe, the Elder Lady tipple.

A drink that dazzles with an array of exquisite and extraordinary flavours to satisfy almost any palate. This cocktail hones in on Hendrick’s unique taste, a gin unlike any other… Hendrick’s Gin’s inexplicable botanical signature contains a string of 11 botanicals from around the world; one such botanical is Elderflower, the flower of the elderberry bush.

A flower that when used authentically, must be harvested immediately in the spring upon blossoming. A characteristic that makes this cocktail just right for sipping on in spring.

In the Victorian era, the elderflower was known as a jewel of the garden leading into the spring season. In Victorian times, spring time was always busy with social events and outdoor work; as tiring as the season was, in many traditions, it was thought dangerous to fall asleep under an elderflower tree in bloom, as one could awaken in the underworld of the dead or fairyland.

Although they can’t vouch for its mystical powers, they can certainly vouch for the Elder Lady tipple, imbued with the most curious gin, elderflower liqueur, syrup, and egg whites. Perfectly garnished with an edible flower to round off into springtime oblivion.
