The day officially made to observe the art of drink concoctions; although we feel that should be celebrated every day.  Call us bias, but we’d like to think this day was established with Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum in mind.  Celebrate in style with a spiced rum Ginger Pina Colada – a twist on the iconic cocktail.

With the boldness to stand out and the smoothness to blend in, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum makes one damn-tasty drink, no matter how you like it. The Sailor Jerry rum and coconut taste so good because it’s based on old-school, DIY sailor recipes that used exotic Asian spices – meaning it’s pretty much born to taste amazing.

As the rum’s namesake once said: “My work speaks for itself.” Like Norman Collins, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum is bold and smooth, and the Ginger Pina Colada speaks for itself – whether you like getting caught in the rain or not!

Ginger Pina Colada

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ parts Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
  • 1 part cream of coconut
  • ¼ part pineapple juice
  • ¾ homemade ginger syrup

Method:

  1. Add Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice and ginger syrup to an empty mixing glass.
  2. Dry shake.
  3. Add ice and shake vigorously.
  4. Strain into highball or tiki glass.
  5. Fill with ice and garnish with candied ginger
