Not to take away from dad’s day, but how amazing is it that this year’s Father’s Day falls on one of the most significant days of our South African history, June 16.
Think how great it would be taking dad out to a lunch at the beauty that is the One&Only Cape Town hotel with it’s wonderful Table Mountain views. Having an indulgent Father’s Day lunchtime spread at Reuben’s restaurant.
Think a slow-roasted short rib with Guinness sauce, Singaporean fish curry and roasted lamb shoulder. And to top it all off, treating dad and everyone else to Diesel & Dust craft beer tasting and live entertainment. All this for R590 per person from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
And what’s a Father’s Day without the children and the grandchildren? One&Only has got them covered with a special made entirely for them. Children between the ages of 4 and 12 years enjoy 50% off. For the younger diners, there will be entertainment including a magician, face-painting, and a giant jumping castle in the KidsOnly club. Children under four must be accompanied by an adult, and baby-sitters are available at a nominal charge.
And just when you thought the day was over, there’s more! One&Only also has a burger special where you get a hearty beef burger or traditional fish and chips, accompanied by a Diesel & Dust craft beer tasting for only R255 per person.
Also, for the warm beverage lovers, an afternoon tea experience will too be available from 2.30pm to 5.30pm and costs R520 per person. A day well spent!
