Lynn, the owner of Cafe D’Arts, explains that her food philosophy was born over 50 years ago as a 6th generation offspring on a dusty trading station and farm in the Transkei. Her love for food was nurtured as she watched and learnt from nature and superb-cook Mom and a practical gran who planted for the pot and pantry. This led her to more than just a career in Food Science, Home Economist, Demonstrator, Catering, Food Judging, Home Economics teacher and non-practicing Dietician.

If it can rot, we cook it!

Not a fan of processed food at all, Lynn keeps her beady, critical eye on the food from sourcing to plate. No short cuts taken.

I know food! And I know baking!

The menu includes ethically sourced foods, fair trade coffee and free-range foods, no artificial foods, nothing pre-packed other than at the restaurant. Fast food is a unknown concept. They want you to eat food that is healthy.

The venue can also be booked for a private function. They will work hand in hand with you to create a great event, which will have your guest’s tongues wagging. From private parties, to business meetings and fund-raising events as well as off-site catering, everything can be arranged.

P.S.: Upon request, a specialised diet plan can also be created by Cafe D’Arts.
