Dress up in all shades of pink for family-fun in the Winelands during Delheim’s 2019 Harvest Festival on Saturday, 26 January!
Celebrate the rosé side of life with Delheim’s 2019 Harvest Festival, hosted by this renowned Stellenbosch wine stalwart. A festival to celebrate the bounty of the vineyard, at the beginning of each year, the Cape Winelands become a hive of activity as harvest gets underway.
Delheim is traditionally one of the very first Stellenbosch wine estates to ring in the new vintage in high spirits. This year’s pink-theme celebrates the harvest of Delheim’s world-renowned Pinotage Rosé – a wine that has built a loyal following since its launch in 1976 as the first in South Africa.
Tickets for the 2019 Delheim Harvest Festival are limited to only 120 adults and 30 children, so it is advised that you make timeous reservations for this fun-filled day in the country. If the weather allows it, the hub of activities will happen at Delheim’s tranquil picnic area along the shady banks of the Klip River that flows through the farm.
Begin the day with grape picking and some exciting stomping action and then wind down with a laidback, family-friendly harvest feast brimming with delights. Enjoy farm fresh salads, dolmades, baked breads, cheese & preserves, pickles, a variety of meats and fruit. Cheese straws, olives, grapes and bread on tables will provide nibbles throughout. Dessert will be a highlight, with fynbos cupcakes and Pinotage ice-cream.
Wines will be on offer through Delheim’s complimentary wine bar, of course, and there will be juice for the kiddies.
That’s not all, there will also be vineyard tours, tractor rides and live music entertainment. Rewards await the best-dressed enthusiast; the fastest grape pickers and the most juice stomped.
