Autumn Festival at Spier Wine Farm

Spier Wine Farm is celebrating the cooler season’s richness and abundance at our Autumn Festival on 30 April. Expect a relaxing day filled with full-bodied wines, plenty of pumpkins, decadent treats and more.

Edit: The Autumn Festival has been cancelled due to bad weather!

The Spier Werf Market is a series of themed markets with once-off pop-up experiences to match. Hosted on Spier Wine Farm’s historical werf, this is a family-friendly gathering where we take the seasons seriously but still play with our food. Here ugly fruit is considered beautiful and people earnestly swap seeds and share food. That said, if you’re more into sipping wine on the grass under our ancient oaks, that works too.

To keep it fresh, they have curate different vendors, chefs and farmers to trade at our themed markets. This means that the edible goods on offer at each market is unique and limited – so don’t miss out. Every month we mix craft cocktails to match the theme, using organic seasonal produce of course.

The market also offers unique pop-up experiences, including hands-on workshops for adults and kids hosted by local foodies. This month we’re hosting a Fermentation Workshop. Ticket sales for these workshops is opening soon.

Entertainment for the little ones include our legendary chicken jumping castle, themed farm games, a cooking school for kids, a kids’ entrepreneurial market and more. Enquire about the kids’ entrepreneurial market via email: market@studio-h.co.za.

We have a seed exchange station, where visitors can exchange their seeds. Prefer plants that have already sprouted? Donate money and containers at the Treepreneurs stand in exchange for indigenous plants or shop some edible seedlings from Farmer John.
