The Tastes of 2019 is almost at its end.
The Vineyard Hotel is gearing up for the second last Tastes of 2019 dinner. Be sure not to miss this on 25 October from 6-9pm, as they’ll be celebrating with Ernie Els Wines and a spectacular four-course dinner to blow you off the golf course.
Guest will be welcomed with Big Easy Rosé and the first course of Franschhoek trout will be served with Big Easy Chenin Blanc.
Ernie Els Cabernet 2016 will be served with the second course, featuring braised springbok (or shimeji mushrooms) with a roasted marrow and potato colcannon wrapped in phyllo and served with aubergine puree.
A third course starring roulade of thyme-roasted chicken with a Black Forest ham risotto and green beans in brie cream (or a golden beet risotto with fine beans, roasted brie and thyme crumbs) pairs surprisingly well with Ernie Els’ Proprietor Blend 2016.
Pudding is an assortment of mini desserts (spiced pear and ginger pudding, dark chocolate torte with cherry compote and a red velvet gateau), served with Ernie Els Sweet Spot.
