3-Course Heritage Day Menu at Jordan Wine Estate

The Bakery at Jordan offers delicious picnic baskets with decadent food such as salami Napoli, camembert and brie and other local cheeses, chutneys and spreads with freshly baked bread and salads, and simple croissants – though simple never tasted so good – and aromatic coffee if you just feel like lounging on the deck in the Stellenbosch sun.

Which is precisely what they’re inviting you to do this Heritage Day, 24 September with proudly South African braai-inspired dishes from The Bakery at Jordan. Chef Thys has designed three special dishes that can be enjoyed individually or as part of a set menu for R280 per person.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • biltong and goats cheese salad with rocket, tomato confit and grilled baby marrow served with a creamy garlic aioli dressing.
  • signature oak smoked pork belly ribs in pineapple marinade with a loaded potato filled with crème fraiche, bacon and chives with a side of tri-colour slaw.
  • peppermint crisp tart
